What is Affiliated Professional Baseball?
Affiliated Professional Baseball
When people talk about affiliated baseball they are talking about the minor and major leagues. They call these minor league teams affiliated baseball teams because they are affiliated with teams in the Major Leagues. There are 30 Major League teams. Most of these teams have from 5 - 6 teams that are affiliated with them. So if we are talking about professional baseball in the affiliated sense, then we are talking about around 200 teams total minor and major league teams.
