Pitching Drills - My two favorite Pitching Drills
There are many pitching drills out there. Some good, some bad, some pointless. So I made this video explaining two of my favorite pitching drills. This doesn't mean that there are only two good pitching drills out there, these are just my two favorite. Like I said, there are many good ones, some bad, and some pointless.
Watch this video to see my two favorite pitching drills:
As you can see in the video, my two most favorite pitching drills are the wall drill and the rocker drill.
The Wall Drill is a great pitching drill to work on leading with the butt and staying closed when pitching. If you focus on only hitting the wall with your butt in the wall drill, and not hitting your shoulder or knee, then you will keep your weight back longer and stay closed longer which promote a good pitching delivery.
The Rocker Drill is a great pitching drill to work on getting over your front leg. In pitching, you want to throw against and get over a strong front leg (not collapsed). The Rocker Drill makes you get over your front leg and throw down. This pitching drill will work on everything after foot plant in the pitching delivery.
If you are looking to add some pitching drills to your routine, then these two pitching drills are great to start with. Let me know what you think or if you have any other favorite pitching drills. Thanks for reading/watching!
