NCAA Clearinghouse Eligibility Center
The NCAA Clearinghouse, also known as the Eligibility Center, is an organization that collects and distributes your educational information to colleges and universities that may be interested in you. If you want to participate in any of the NCAA colleges or universities you must be registered with the NCAA Clearinghouse. You can find a registration form at your high school councleors office. There is a one time fee of $50 to register with the Clearinghouse. For that $50, the NCAA Clearinghouse will verify your eligibility so that you can play at any NCAA school your freshman year.
It is recommended that student athletes sign up to register with the NCAA Clearinghouse in the beginning of their junior year of high school.
You want to get this form filled out as early as possible, however there is no registration deadline. The only problem is, if you are not registered, then you cannot recieve a scholarship or compete in your sport. So just make sure you are registered in the beginning of your junior year.
