Band Training Exercises for Pitchers

Training with bands is great for baseball players but especially important for pitchers. These band training exercises are just a few examples that pitchers can do to strengthen their shoulders, gain shoulder stability, work on their scaps, and prevent injury.

Check out future Major League pitcher Jimmy "The Bands" Hodgskin showing us some of the band training exercises that he uses to gain shoulder stability and stay free from injury. He shows us 5 or 6 band exercises followed by short quick pulses to really feel the burn. Jimmy started with sets of 8 reps of full range of motion and 6 pulse reps and then built himself up to 3 sets of 10 full range and 8 pulse reps.
